For over 30 years Adroit Modular Buildings has been supplying temporary modular buildings to a wide variety of public and private sector organisations. In 1995 AMB introduced the successful RapidRoom range of galvanised steel-framed modules, to withstand the rigours of multiple relocations. AMB now offers rugged steel-framed units for all new hires.
Standard modules are 3.017m (9'11") wide with lengths of:
5.163m (16'11") – internal floor area 13m2 (140ft2)
7.567m (24'10") – internal floor area 19m2 (205ft2)
9.901m (32'6") – internal floor area 25m2 (270ft2)
Specials can be built for long term hires.
Modules can be used singly, with or without jacklegs, or joined side-by-side, or end-to-end to form larger temporary modular buildings. The basic design can be stacked up to two storeys high, internal and external staircases can be supplied, lifts can be installed to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act. The standard external finish is colour-coated steel, but almost any other cladding can also be supplied. PVCu windows and external doors are standard, roofs are typically shallow pitched, but normal pitched roofs are also available.
Designed primarily for AMB's own Hire Fleet, these modules are robust enough to withstand multiple relocations, but are also available for sale as permanent buildings, which can be relocated if required.
